Dealing With Piriformis Syndrome

I occasionally have people ask about low back pain and "sciatic" pain. I made this little cheat sheet of some good foam rolling and stretches that help address those issues. As always...if you have pain check with the Doc first and if they give you the ok, try these. 

Once you are all clear from the Doctor, chances are the problem lies in muscular imbalances and luckily, they can be corrected with a series of stretching and strengthening. Hey, Happy spring everyone! I have a feeling you are like me and just can’t wait to see spring finally add some color to the outdoors and even do that spring cleaning to get ready for the nice weather.

Chances are you’ve been pulling out some of your spring and summer clothing—those favorite pieces from last year.  But if you are like many people, they don’t feel quite as comfortable as they did at the end of summer.  The zipper is a little harder to zip, and the fit is a bit too snug to be attractive.

How To Use Daylight Savings Time To Get Fit

Sunday, March 10, marks the date we changed our clocks in observance of Daylight Saving Time.  On this day, Canadian residents moved their clocks forward one hour, resulting in more daylight at the end of each day. 

Many people dread this “spring forward” tradition, because it means getting one less hour of sleep.   But you can take advantage of the upcoming time change to help you improve your overall fitness and health routine.
